Welcome to this blog!
This is the first post, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce what this space is about.
During the Covid pandemic, I dedicated some time to street photography and shared my work on Instagram . That account grew unexpectedly, gathering a generous number of followers (thank you!). It was a great experience, but going back to a normal life and regular office hours, my activity on the platform went down to zero. Recently, I decided to close the account. Still, I felt it would be a shame to let those images disappear without a proper place to be displayed. That’s why I created this website to serve as a gallery for those photographs taken in the backstreets of Japan.
As for this blog, I don’t have a specific plan. I see it as a space where I can casually share new photos I take while out on walks. The style, themes, and subjects will likely vary, making it more of a stream-of-consciousness than a structured project. While I could still use social media to share these images, now that I’ve built this website, why not make full use of it?
To kick things off, I’m sharing a series of snapshots taken on a ferry in Tokyo Bay. This was a round trip between Kurihama in Kanagawa Prefecture and Kanaya in Chiba Prefecture. Enjoy the images, and thanks for stopping by!
